Our PCB Assembly Manufacturing Process

Step 1

We will design a layout for your PCBs and send it to you for approval. The layout we produce is done in our proprietary software, which integrates all of the necessary features of the entire manufacturing process.
Step 2

Material Preparation

The materials needed for the production of your PCB are ordered from our suppliers and arrive at our facility. These include FR-4 material, solder mask and silk screen stencils (if desired), components, and assembly hardware. We inspect each component carefully to ensure that it is new and meets our standards for quality control (QC).
Step 3

Once all of the materials have arrived at our facility, we will begin assembling your boards one by one using a pick-and-place machine that picks up components from an inventory tray and places them onto a printed circuit board (PCB). This process ensures that each component is placed correctly on each board without missing or double-loading any components.
Step 4

Post-Production Testing

After assembly, we will test each board to make sure that it is functioning properly. This process includes both visual and electrical testing of each component and the PCB itself.
Step 5

Visual Testing

Our technicians will visually inspect every component on every board for damage or missing parts prior to testing. This ensures that all components are present, in good condition and that they are properly seated.
Step 6

Once we’re sure that the board is functioning properly, we will package it for shipment. This includes placing the board in a plastic bag and then into an anti-static foam sleeve to prevent damage during shipping.
Step 7

We offer different shipping options outside China, so you can choose the one that best suits your needs. We use a variety of couriers and shipping methods, including air freight and ocean freight, depending on where you are located and the size of your order.

FAQs of Low Volume Circuit Board Assembly Business

Generally speaking, low volume PCB assembly refers to the production of a relatively small number of circuit boards. It’s important to note that the term low volume can be applied in a variety of contexts, so it’s best to consult with your PCB manufacturer before placing an order if you have any concerns about whether or not your project qualifies as low volume PCB assembly.
You may already know that running expensive equipment for extended periods of time can lead to higher costs associated with electricity and maintenance. Because most circuit board manufacturers have minimum order requirements—often in the hundreds or thousands—it makes sense for many businesses to outsource their production needs instead of keeping all the machines humming at full capacity all year long. Also, low volume is a perfect solution for prototypes. Testing a new product is a costly endeavor, and if you’re not sure how many units will sell, it can be hard to justify the expense of mass production.
